Robert K. Ross serves as Senior Counsel at MarketCounsel and is an Associate of the Hamburger Law Firm,
an affiliated boutique law firm providing the securities industry with
unparalleled legal counsel.
Robert is primarily engaged in employment and business counseling to financial
advisers interested in opening their own independent firms. He also represents
securities industry clients in formal and informal regulatory and law
enforcement inquiries and disciplinary proceedings before the U.S. Securities
and Exchange Commission (SEC), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and state securities regulators. In
addition, Robert also focuses on representing firms and their personnel in
arbitrations and litigation, and advises clients on internal policies and
procedures designed to minimize the risk of customer disputes or regulatory
inquiries.
Robert has significant experience in providing a broad range of litigation and
arbitration services to individuals and institutions in the securities industry.
Before joining the Hamburger Law Firm, Robert was an associate with the New
York office of the national law firm of Alston & Bird, and, more recently, with
a large New Jersey firm. He is admitted to the bars of New Jersey and New York,
as well as the U.S. District Courts for the District of New Jersey, Southern
District of New York and Eastern District of New York.
Robert earned his undergraduate degree in political science from the University
of Massachusetts at Amherst and his Juris Doctor from the Rutgers School of Law. |
