Arthur Laurent serves as Special Counsel at MarketCounsel and the Chief Financial Officer of Hamburger & Co.   At MarketCounsel, he is primarily called upon to address tax and accounting issues faced by clients in specialized situations, especially utilizing his background as a FINRA Financial and Operations Principal to address related issues presented by broker-dealers.

Mr. Laurent served as Senior Vice President at Oppenheimer & Co.  He went on to own his own broker-dealer.  After its acquisition, he continues to serve as a Financial and Operations Principal to registered broker-dealers.

Arthur earned his BSBA with a major in accounting undergraduate degree from Shippensburg University.  Upon graduating, Mr. Laurent went on to meet the rigorous requirements for the professional designations of Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Arthur lives with his wife, Elaine, and their son, Matthew, in northern New Jersey.
